If your kit doesn’t come with a comb length that you are looking for, they can be purchased separately here. Without the combs, the blade gives a much shorter cutting length (our standard blade will cut to 0.8mm). The standard attachment comb lengths are: #0.5įor example, if your clipper comes with #1-4 attachment combs, you will be able to cut from 3mm to 13mm. Placing these on the blade will enable you to cut to different lengths. Your clipper kit will usually come with a number of attachment combs. This is particularly useful for fading and blending as you can be more precise with your cutting lengths. Moving the lever up for a closer cut, and down for a longer cut. The taper lever allows you to change the closeness of your cut between guide comb lengths. Applying oil little and often is usually the best approach and, will prevent your blade from getting choked with hair clippings, grease and dander which, will affect its cutting performance. This will help control blade surface temperature and prevent clipper rash and skin irritation. If you’re clipping with the same blade for longer than usual, reapply oil and/or a spritz of coolant spray every 10-15 minutes.
